You will need to be able to provide your CPD certificate.

No training materials will be provided: You will complete the written assignments, 3 observations and submit a further 3 case studies.

Learner Entry Requirements: Learners must have previously completed and achieved a Level 3 qualification in beauty therapy or a Level 2 qualification in skincare and facial treatments.

Course aims: The aim of the Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Dermaplaning Treatments will provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to safely provide dermaplaning treatments to clients

This course covers:

• Understanding, planning and conducting dermaplaning.

In addition:

• Understanding of facial anatomy and physiology, associated pathologies and skin disorders, injuries and conditions.
• Understanding of advanced skin assessments and investigative consultations, skin types and conditions.
• Conduct a skin analysis and investigative consultation.

Course Structure:

This qualification is internally assessed. Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

You will attend one day practical training day working with 3 models, followed by the completion of 5 case studies. Once the case studies have been signed off, you will then need to perform 3 observation. The observations can be done face to face or via Zoom.

You will need access to a computer and Word (or equivalent).

Kit: You will need the following products/kit:

• Cleanser, toner, moisturiser, SPF, Mask
• Surgical Blade 10, 10R &14
• Blade Handle: You will need at least 3 of the following: 3, 3L, 5B, 7,9, B3
